SUBSTANCE: invention proposes applying the compound (E)-7-[4-(4-fluorophenyl)-6-isopropyl-2-[methyl(methylsulfonyl)amino]pyrimidine-5-yl]-(3R,5S)-3,5-dihydroxyhept-6-enoic acid of the formula (I)
or its pharmaceutically acceptable salt as an inhibitor of 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl-coenzyme A reductase in producing a medicinal agent used for treatment of diabetic neuropathy, its combination with ACE inhibitor, with AII antagonist or with aldose reductase inhibitor. Invention provides elevating the rate of nerve conductivity in diabetic patients and to improve blood supply of nerves.
