FIELD: transport engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in creating of vehicles transformable into flying vehicles. Proposed method includes levitation of vehicle and alternation of movement of vehicle on overhead road with movement of vehicle on air cushion using thrust built by kinetic energy of gas flow and/or kinetic energy of mechanical enteraction with gas. Vehicle moves along overhead road owing to interaction of magnetic fields of vehicle and overhead road. Alternation is carried out with vertical take-off from overhead road and vertical landing on overhead road. Vehicle has body with guide members to move along overhead road, chargers to build air cushion, air cushion contour guard, power independent thrust to create thrust owing to energy of gas and/or kinetic energy of mechanical interaction with gas, system to change direction of thrust, vehicle take-off/landing positioning device and power transmission devices. Power transmission devices are made for taking off power from power independent thrust to drive chargers building air cushion. Vehicle is provided with electric devices to form moving magnetic field to provide movement of vehicle along overhead road, and power transmission control system. Power transmission control system is connected with take-off/landing positioning device of vehicle to transmit commutation change signal. Invention provides possibility of operation of vehicle independent from changes of properties of support medium and increased duration of period of vehicle operation when moving over ground and water.
