FIELD: lighter-than-air flying vehicles using additional thrust of main rotor.
SUBSTANCE: toroidal balloon provided with soft envelope is filled with lighter-than-air gas, helium for example. Inner part of balloon forms air passage whose wall is made in form of rigid shield and engine nacelle is secured its surface by means of holders. Airship control equipment and engine are located inside engine nacelle. Mounted along axis of drive oriented along axis of symmetry of engine nacelle are blades of flow-straightening apparatus at varying angle of attack and wobble plate for inclination of main rotor thrust vector; control inputs of flow-straightening apparatus and wobble plate are connected to airship control equipment. It is good practice to provide self-contained power supply source for control equipment, storage battery for example; engine of drive is made in form of electric motor connected to self-contained power supply source.
EFFECT: extended field of application of airship.
