SPACECRAFT LAUNCHING SYSTEM Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

Abstract RU 2239586 C2

FIELD: space engineering; launching manned and unmanned spacecraft from Earth.

SUBSTANCE: proposed system includes linear electric drive with stator in form of circular windings with core located inside them. Core is made in form of magnetic envelope of launch vehicle. Launch vehicle with spacecraft is located inside this envelope. Stator windings are mounted on trestle assembled from separate members with supports. Charge mounted in envelope operates at the end of trestle ejecting the launch vehicle from envelope at simultaneous deceleration of envelope. Supports are provided with seismic protective units and follow-up system for elimination of shift of windings. Launch vehicle may be installed along mountain slope.

EFFECT: enhanced economical efficiency of launching spacecraft.
