FIELD: metallurgy; protection of inspection ports against condensates of metals in vacuum furnaces, electron-beam furnace in particular in melting high-reaction metals and alloys.
SUBSTANCE: proposed device has body with inspection port, optical observation instrument mounted on the outside, revolving disk with changeable protective glasses and peep hole made in inner wall of body. Peep hole is made in form of diaphragm at diameter of aperture not exceeding 0.5 mm. Diaphragm is mounted at distance from inlet lens equal to or exceeding its front focal distance; diameter of inlet lens is equal to or exceeds diameter of bundle of rays from object under observation. Device is provided with tube for delivery of gas to cavity of body.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency and reliability of protection of inspection port.
