PEEPHOLE FOR VACUUM CHAMBER Russian patent published in 1994 - IPC

FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has vacuum chamber, which has pumping-out aids and vacuum pipe-line, case provided with peephole, protective gadget which is cooled and disposed inside the case. The gadget is made in form of truncated cone directed with its wider side to peephole. Device also has rotatable disk with removable sight glass. Channels are made onto case and rotatable disk. Channels are connected when working sight glass and peephole are brought into coincidence and vacuum line of pumping-out system. Continuous pumping-out is provided when residual gases are pumped out of vacuum space of peephole. Working gas is supplied through the pipe introduced into cavity of protective gadget. The gadget provides also protection of sight glass against splashes due to small size of inlet hole at vertex of the cone. EFFECT: replacement of sight glass without depressurization of main technological chamber. 2 cl, 4 dwg
