FIELD: means of protection of people, various objects, structures and equipment.

SUBSTANCE: the device represents one or a combination of protective sections each having four protective segments interconnected with the aid of vertical rod hinge joints, two protective segments of each section are provided with handles located on their back surface. Each protective segment has a C-shaped section and comprises a supporting base and front and rear layers of elastic material located at a preset distance from each other, positioned in each layer is one or two metal gauzes located with a clearance relative to each other, they are made of round-section wire with cells of definite dimensions, the cells of the metal gauzes are uniformly shifted relative one another. The front and rear layers of elastic material are interconnected around the edges of each segment, and the cavity between them is filled with hardened foam material. The device composed of one section may be provided with a sliding bottom.

EFFECT: simplified construction, inconsiderable mass and cost of manufacture.
