DEVICE FOR PROTECTION AGAINST AFTEREFFECTS OF BLAST Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC F42D5/45 

FIELD: means of protection of people, various objects, structures and equipment.

SUBSTANCE: the device represents a transformable section including four protective segments connected to one another with the aid of vertical tamper hinge joints. Each protective segment has a C-shaped section and includes a supporting base and front and rear layers of elastic material connected to it and positioned at a preset distance from one another, one or two metal screens made of round-section wire with cells of definite dimensions are positioned with a clearance in each of them, the cells of the metal screens are uniformly shifted relative to one another. The front and rear layers of elastic material are interconnected in the perimeter of each segment, and the cavity between them is filled with hardened foam material. The device is provided with a cover furnished with an outer framework and connected to the protective segments by means of detachable joints through plate springs, and each protective segment and the cover are provided with uniformly arranged throttling channels over the whole surface.

EFFECT: provided suppression of blast wave, simplified construction, reduced mass and cost of manufacture.
