FIELD: agricultural engineering.

SUBSTANCE: root undercutting apparatus has frame and bracket pivotally mounted on frame, and device for restricting angular motions of bracket and setting bracket at an angle of 1-25 deg by means of hydraulic cylinder pivotally connected with frame. Rear restricting device is made adjustable. One of wheels of root undercutting apparatus is spring-loaded. Contacts are positioned on frame and on spring-loaded wheel tine so as to be closed. Contacts are connected with current indicator and current source.

EFFECT: simplified construction and wider operational capabilities.
