SUBSTANCE: root undercutting apparatus has frame with poles, flexible knife fixed in horizontal position on poles and carrier wheels for adjustment of undercutting depth. Knife poles are formed as flexible plates with inner surfaces positioned at an angle in horizontal secant plane relative to direction of motion of root undercutter.
