FIELD: automotive industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cleaning of oil in internal combustion engines, particularly, to oil filters. Making of two rows of holes in filter base and bypass valve in front part of filter over one of rows of holes precludes passing of contaminated oil and dirt accumulated on surface of filtering element and in filter space into engine. Making of holes of bypass valve and central hole of base in one plane without part projecting from inner side of base provides unobstructed passing of oil into engine when bypass valve operates. Oil filter precludes getting of dirt from filter space into engine and provides constant quality cleaning of oil.

EFFECT: simplified design, increased service life of engine.
