FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines.
SUBSTANCE: proposed invention is designed for reducing noises of exhaust gases in internal combustion engines. Muffler has housing, walls, intake branch pipe, exhaust branch pipe, partitions and three chambers. Intake branch pipe extends into second chamber, first and third chambers between housing, partitions, intake and exhaust branch pipes, being filled with noise-suppressing material. Dimensions of housing are indicated in description of invention.
EFFECT: improved efficiency of noise damping in wide range of sound frequencies at low back pressure.
