SUBSTANCE: proposed muffler has housing, length L=(3-12)d, width S=(3-12)d and height H=(3-12)d. Housing is divided into two chambers by perforated partition. First chamber accommodates intake branch pipe, diameter d, extended into second chamber with length of extension of intake branch pipe into second chamber of on entire length of which perforations are made of diameter and pitch Outlet branch pipe has diameter and length of extension into first chamber of on entire length of which perforation is made of diameter and pitch Perforations in perforated partition are made with diameter and pitch Muffler is furnished with transfer branch pipe of length with perforations on entire length of diameter and pitch Layers of sound absorbing material, thickness are laid in first and second chambers. Said sound-absorbing layers are separated from spaces of corresponding chambers by perforated partitions.
EFFECT: improved efficiency of sound-suppression of muffler in low frequency and high frequency bands of sound frequencies at low counterpressure.
