FIELD: electrical engineering; heating flows of liquids such as oil; continuous bright annealing of metal.
SUBSTANCE: proposed flow heater of both design alternates has multileg transformer core whose legs carry multiphase primary winding connected to ac supply mains and secondary winding that functions as electricity conducting heat exchanger with inlet and outlet pipes for passing heated liquid. Secondary phase winding of first design alternate is connected in series to form closed circuit made in the form of continuous tube; secondary winding turns made in the form of continuous tube sections constitute series-connected secondary phases of which at least one is differentially connected to other phases and is asymmetrically disposed relative to magnetic flux built up in primary winding. Secondary phase winding in second design alternate is made in the form of three parallel circuits with phases in each of these circuits being connected in series and one of them, differentially connected to other phases, differentially connected phased of primary windings being alternating in each parallel circuit. Effective use of secondary-winding specific heat-transfer surface and of entire spectrum of higher-harmonic currents have made it possible to raise thermal efficiency of heater to 95%.
EFFECT: enhanced intensity of inductive heating and thermal efficiency of heater.
