FIELD: electrical equipment for heating liquids.

SUBSTANCE: transformer-type liquid electric heater has magnetic core, primary winding connected to power supply, secondary winding of conducting material that covers the latter and incorporates liquid passages, cold-liquid inlet and hot-liquid outlet pipes; secondary winding wound on each core leg is made of conducting tube in the form of two half-windings, one being forward- and other backward-progression coils; interconnecting conducting tubes, as well as cold-liquid inlet and hot-liquid outlet pipes are interconnected by conducting jumpers. As an alternative, three-legged magnetic core can be used. In particular case conducting tubes of electric heater can be made in the form of U-shaped loops.

EFFECT: simplified design, input power control capability, enhanced electric safety of heater.
