FIELD: agricultural engineering, in particular, agricultural machines for presowing treatment of seed having solid moisture-impermeable coat.
SUBSTANCE: scarificator has charging hopper with closure, casing and inner rotating scarifying member made in the form of flat rotating horizontal disk with upper surface covered with abrasive layer. Hopper bottom is equipped with openings, to which pipes are attached. Pipes are provided with vertical one-sided slots, which are closed with screens of elastic material. Their upper ends are attached to pipes above slots. Their lower ends are sliding over abrasive surface. Gap between pipe ends and abrasive surface of scarifying member is equal to two-three maximal sizes of seeds to be scarified.
EFFECT: improved quality of scarification, elimination of grinding of seeds, simplified construction, increased efficiency and reduced power consumption.
