FIELD: veterinary science.
SUBSTANCE: the suggested preparation consists of Moraxella bovis-KBH vaccine strain, buffer solution, aluminum hydroxide, formalin at a certain quantitative ratio of components. Method for preventing infectious keratoconjunctivitis in cattle deals with subcutaneous injection of the above-mentioned preparation for cattle in area of the middle third of neck at first time at the dosage of 3 ml, at second time 21 d after the first injection at the dosage of 3-4 ml. The method provides efficient prophylaxis of infectious keratoconjunctivitis in cattle at introducing the preparation 1-1.5 mo before the onset of the above-mentioned disease.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of prophylaxis.
