FIELD: mechanical engineering; petrochemical industry, refrigerating and cryogenic facilities.
SUBSTANCE: proposed sliding bearing has housing with self-aligning segments fitted inside housing, and shaft with thrust disk. Space found on end face shaft is divided into cylindrical and conical sections, conical section being connected through liquid outlet channel with housing. Cover installed from side of one of shaft end faces has suction and pressure spaces which accommodate pump wheel secured on shaft so that suction space is in communication with low-viscosity liquid reservoir, and pressure, space, with bearing housing. Ring with guide vanes is installed in end of conical section of space on end face of shaft, thanks to it degassed liquid is effectively let out and directed into low-viscosity liquid reservoir. Low-viscosity liquid circulates along following route: low-viscosity liquid reservoir-cylindrical section of shaft space-pump wheel-bearing housing-liquid inlet channel-conical section of shaft space-low-viscosity liquid reservoir. Bearing is furnished with external elements installed inside housing and cable of moving in axial direction which facilities replacement of worn-out parts.
EFFECT: improved reliability and serviceability of thrust bearing.
