FIELD: heating engineering.
SUBSTANCE: device has hermetic metallic body partially filled with liquid electro-conductive heat carrier with zones of evaporation and condensation, outer surface of body being covered by electro-insulating material, cap connected to body in evaporation zone and connected to power source on alternating current, electric heater in form of two electrodes fixed on cap, one of which is mounted along body axis, and second one is connected to metallic body, while pipe also has boot with rod, mounted in condensation area with possible displacement relatively to body, power source switch connected to rod, electrode placed along body axis and immersed in liquid heat carrier, while given level of heat carrier H feeding into metallic body and distance of electrode placement from end of evaporation area h are connected by relation h/H=0.3-0.4. Also, power source power q in moment of launch of heat pipe is selected to be 0.7-0.85 from power q1 relayed by heat pipe, between surface of boot and of electro-insulating material a space is made, value of which in end portion of boot δ is connected to boot length l by relation δ/l=0.1-0.2.
EFFECT: higher efficiency, higher reliability.
