FIELD: electrical engineering; insulating materials for cables and wires of all grades.
SUBSTANCE: proposed composition that can be used for insulating cables of all grades including heat-resistant cables and wires operating in chemically active media is based on propylene-and-ethylene block copolymer with 8 - 15% of ethylene units and has Irganox 1010, calcium stearate, Irgafos 168, glyceryl monostearate, Hostanox OS 1, Hostanox SE, dimaleimides, and organic peroxides. Composition uses 4-methyl-phenylene-bis-maleimide or N,N'-m-phenylene-dimaleimide as dimaleimides and ditertiary butyl or 2.5-di-(tertiary-butyl-peroxy) hexane, as organic peroxide. This composition is noted for resistance to thermal-oxidative aging including to copper ions at temperatures of chemically active media incorporating surface active materials higher than 120 °C.
EFFECT: enhanced heat resistance, adhesion to nonferrous metals, and shape stability.
