SUBSTANCE: proposed homodyne receiving unit functions to receive radio-frequency signal packets incorporating a number of characters and generates numeric samples of at least complex modulating signal (I and Q) from each signal packet. It has mean value calculator that defines mean dc current level of mentioned samples and sum-of-squares calculator including number sign that functions to calculate sum of squares of plurality of mentioned samples including number sign and weighs sum of squares including number sign with aid of correction factor. Correction means subtracts sum of squares from output signal of mean value calculator to obtain estimate of dc current level.
EFFECT: improved estimate and correction of dc current level.
