FEED STEAMING APPARATUS Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: agricultural engineering, in particular feed steaming equipment.

SUBSTANCE: steaming apparatus has drum and two similar blades fixed in drum. Blades adjoin along semi-chord to bottoms and side surface of drum. Screw is embraced by troughs, which are formed on blades. Direction of screw coils in one trough is opposite to direction of screw coils in other trough. Blades are arranged at opposite sides of screw and their peripheral ends are directed in opposed relation to one another. Discharge hatches are positioned on bottoms in opposed relation to screw ends. Screw shaft rests through bearings upon poles. When hatches are closed, hatch cover fixes in alternation screw shaft with respect to drum. Shaft is made in the form of perforated pipe communicated with steam supply pipeline. During operation of drum, feeds are mixed due to lifting thereof by blades, spilling along and partly transverse to blades. Upon supplying of steam into shaft, feeds are saturated with steam.

EFFECT: simplified method and improved quality of preparing of feeds.
