APPARATUS FOR PRE-SOWING TREATMENT OF SEEDS Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC A01C1/00 

FIELD: agricultural engineering, in particular, technique for treatment of seeds of various farm crops.

SUBSTANCE: apparatus has charging hopper, discharge hopper, compressed air receiver, reservoir for liquid agent, and chamber made in the form of hollow cylinder. Reservoir for liquid agent is divided into sections by means of partition. Chamber is positioned in horizontal plane and is equipped with transportation mechanism, charging and discharge hatches. Transportation mechanism of said chamber has rotation drive. Chamber is furnished with individual rotation drive made in the form of chain transmission. Closed annular tire with chain transmission rollers is positioned so as to embrace power carcass of hollow cylinder. Drive sprocket of chain transmission is mounted on output end of motor-reducer shaft. Transportation mechanism is made in the form of axially aligned screws different in size. Screw of smaller diameter is adapted for rotation around axis of rotation of screw within trough mounted on screw shaft by means of roller supports. Coils of screw of larger diameter are located on trough outer surface. Shaft of screw having smaller diameter is kinematically connected with motor-reducer. Motor-reducers of drives for said chamber and screw of smaller diameter are electrically connected to commercial frequency voltage mains through frequency converters.

EFFECT: increased yield of cereal crop grain due to improved sowing qualities of seeds.
