FIELD: metallurgy, namely rolled stock production, particularly manufacture of rolled railway road rails.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of controlling in pre-final three-roll pass width of rail foot, reducing web and flange in two-roll zone of pass, reducing head in three-roll zone of pass at using shaped groove of vertical roll and partings between shoulders of vertical roll and ends of horizontal rolls in zones of small-radius rounding of lateral surfaces of head at side of superposition recess; realizing parting at side of rail head between shoulders of vertical roll and ends of horizontal rolls in places of joining rolling surface and lateral surfaces of rail head. Invention provides rolling of rail head at side of rolling surface by means of direct pressure of vertical roll in two last passes for receiving small-grain structure of metal in said zone.
EFFECT: enhanced geometry of rolled shape, improved rectilinearity of rails.
