WATER-DISPERSED PAINT Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: varnish-and-paint industry.

SUBSTANCE: paint contains film-forming agent: styrene/acrylic acid ester copolymer or styrene/acrylic acid copolymer; thickener: rarely cross-linked copolymer of butyl acrylate, methacrylic acid, and styrene or methylol methacrylamide, titanium dioxide, chalk and/or talc, and oxyethylated alkylphenol; foam suppressor; preservative; antifreeze; water and, additionally, coalescent agent: butyldiglycol acetate or flotation reagent: oxale; optical bleacher; triazineaminostilbene compound; and optionally composition of direct dyes belonging to blue, green, and red optical regions taken at ratio 1:(0.25-0.5):(0.005-0.1) and giving together white summary color. All components are used in specified proportions. Paint is characterized by whiteness 93-95% and resistance to static action of water and 3% alkali solution.
