APPARATUS FOR COLLECTING OF PETROLEUM OR PETROLEUM PRODUCTS IN THE VICINITY OF SEA OR RIVER BOTTOM, INCLUDING AT SUBSTANTIAL DEPTH Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: environment protection, in particular, equipment for effective localization and collecting of petroleum or petroleum products flowing from sunk oil tanker or failed oil pipeline positioned on sea or river bottom, including pipeline positioned at substantial depth.

SUBSTANCE: apparatus is composed of two parts. First part has at least two rows of pipes arranged one above another and pivotally connected with one another into ring, said pipes being bound by vertical tubes. Tubular poles are attached to lower row of pipes. Upper row of pipes and vertical tubes are covered with closure of synthetic material to define cylindrical construction. Cavities of each pipe are connected with one another and with pump and compressor, which are arranged on second part made in the form of platforms-pontoons mounted along perimeter of side surface of cylindrical construction. Cables of winches positioned on platforms-pontoons may be attached to pipes of lower row of cylindrical construction. Additional weights may be attached to said pipes. Detachable floats are fixed to winch cables, and lock-type connecting members may be arranged at upper part of winch cables.

EFFECT: increased efficiency in collecting of petroleum or petroleum products from sea or river bottom.
