FIELD: mechanical engineering; combustion of fuel.
SUBSTANCE: proposed solid fuel gas generator has housing with charge, cover and multinozzle unit including contractions and tangentially arranged diffusers of nozzle holes. Multinozzle unit is made either directly in housing, or in cover of gas generator. Cavities are made in cover of gas generator along axes of contractions at turning of combustion product flow into diffuser. Volume of cavities is made basing on designed volumetric portion of condensed phase in combustion products per nozzle orifice.
EFFECT: improved ballistic characteristics of gas generator, reduced content of condensed phase in fuel combustion products interacting with turbine blades.
