FIELD: mechanical engineering; diesel engines.
SUBSTANCE: proposed fuel system contains fuel pump with meter-distributor consisting spool placed in cylindrical barrel, from outer surface of which channels run to nozzles. Radial groove is made on outer surface of spool. Fuel pump is single-plunger two-cam machine. Radial groove connects in turn in process of rotation of spool the channels running from pump and to nozzles. Shaft of spool is set into rotation from two-cam shaft of pump through device regulating displacement in phase between said shafts. Bypass channels are made on outer surface of housing of meter-distributor, channels being equipped with spring-loaded valves to bypass excess fuel from groove into low-pressure space. Fuel pump has spool valve which overlaps in turn channel to pass fuel from-feed pump into overplunger space. Said channel is located in upper part of overplunger space, and in lower part of overplunger space channel is made connected with low-pressure space.
EFFECT: simplified design of fuel pump.
