FIELD: motors and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in fuel supply systems of internal combustion engines (ICE). Proposed method makes it possible to adjust moments of fuel supply by shift of multiphase diagram along time axis relative to working processes in ICE cylinders, and fuel metering – its displacement along displacement axis relative to boundary lines of pulse and cut-off. Control of cyclic fuel supply is performed by changing the moment of delivery end, i.e. raising or lowering cutoff boundary line. Fuel advance angle is controlled by changing the injection (pulse) moment, i.e. raising or lowering boundary line of pulse, at constant position of cutoff line. Simultaneous control of the beginning and the end of the delivery is carried out by synchronous lifting or lowering of both boundary lines.
EFFECT: invention allows improving reliability of precision pairs of high-pressure fuel pumps and enabling application of alternative types of fuel.
