FIELD: thermal engineering; heat supply systems for industry, agriculture, defense, transport, and household objects.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method for converting mechanical energy of liquid flowing under pressure from motor or engine pump into thermal energy includes circulation of liquid, its throttling by means of pump at pump outlet, and its pressure relief at pump inlet. Pressure relief is effected with aid of inlet pipe of pump communicating with atmosphere. Heat generator implementing this method has pump with drive and line providing communication between pump outlet and inlet. Throttle in the form of, say, washer is installed at pump outlet. Pump inlet communicates with expansion tank for excess pressure relief. Line may incorporate boiler radiator or coil for heating or hot-water supply.
EFFECT: provision for dispensing with complicated treatment of liquid used for heat energy generation.
