FIELD: nonferrous metallurgy; production of copper and nickel.

SUBSTANCE: the invention is dealt with nonferrous metallurgy, in particular, with the design of the metallurgical apparatus used for autogenous smelting of copper, copper-zinc, nickel and copper-nickel concentrates, and also it may be used for any sulfide concentrates and ores. The autogenous calcinating-melting installation consists of: a device for a continuous charge and calcination of a concentrate or a charge and a flux, a melting device for production of a matte or metal and a slag and a gas with the lances used for feeding an oxidative positive draught into the molten bath, a unit of evacuation of gases, blast-holes for removal of a matte or a metal from one and a slag - from the other side of the melting device, a calcinating whirlwind chamber mounted on the melting device butt side, that is opposite relatively to the discharge slag tap-hole, and is linked with the melting device through a branch-pipe providing delivery of a hot calcine from the whirlwind chamber in the melting device. At that in the capacity of the unit used for selective evacuation of gases from the melting part of the installation they use a throat of the melting device, and for evacuation of the calcinating gases - a vertical gas withdrawal channel located along the axis of the whirlwind chamber. In the capacity of the melting device a stationary converter may be used, and the melting device may have a lateral hole for the gases evacuation. The invention ensures a decrease of consumption of a fuel and industrial oxygen at melting of sulfide concentrates and an opportunity of realization of autogenous process.

EFFECT: the invention allows to decrease fuel and industrial oxygen consumption at melting of sulfide concentrates and to realize the autogenous process.
