PLUG CONNECTOR Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: electrical engineering; connectors designed for manual connection and disconnection of electric circuits.

SUBSTANCE: plug connector has equipment-end plug and socket. Cable-end parts of connector may be provided with straight or angle shell with lock or shells designed for lock mounting. Lock functions to hold union nut in coupled position and to prevent spontaneous loosening of connector mating parts. Equipment-end plugs are available of sealed and unsealed design alternates. Cable- and equipment-end plugs and sockets are available of unsealed design alternate. Equipment-end plugs (sockets) are coupled with mating cable-end parts of same design alternate only. Equipment-end plug has shroud accommodating plug with reinforced pins. Rubber gasket is fitted on pins on contact part end. Angle socket and straight plug (socket) have shroud common with lock that accommodates insulator in the form of insulating boards with movable (floating) jacks, hell and cover screwed together. Shell cover mounts lock that functions to hold union nuts in turned-in position.

EFFECT: enhanced reliability of protection against unwanted separation of connector mating parts.
