FIELD: electrical and radio engineering.

SUBSTANCE: proposed connector designed for mechanical connection and disconnection of electric circuits is assembled of two parts, that is cable or equipment plugs and cable or equipment sockets, any of its plugs being suited to any sockets. Plug has guide retainers and socket is provided with guide bushings which provides for desired alignment of contacts. In addition locking device provides for locking equipment plugs and cable sockets in coupled position. Mechanical design of equipment socket contact section enables movement of contacts in all planes, that is their floating relative to fastening studs.

EFFECT: enhanced reliability of joint between mating parts and manufacturability of connector.
