FIELD: grounding devices for electrical installations with heavy ground currents disposed on small areas.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes burial of grounding device in the form of ring with tap in ground through definite depth depending on radius of grounding ring; the latter is buried through depth of 0.1 - 0.2 of its radius. Ring is padded with ground layer of 0.1 - 0.2 m in thickness. Then potential ring of same diameter made of wire, 2 to 3 mm in diameter, is placed above grounding ring at distance of 0.2 - 0.2 m and electrically connected with grounding ring through capacitor of minimum 1 μF rating, whereupon trench holding both rings and capacitor is filled with ground. Device implementing this method is given in description of invention.
EFFECT: reduced burial depth of grounding device, reduced amount of excavation work and cost of grounding ring burial means.
