FIELD: medicine, veterinary science, pharmacy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to compositions and methods for potentiating therapeutic effects of interferons and can be used in preparing interferon medicinal preparations. Method for potentiating therapeutic effect of interferon involves administration of interferon in mammal in the dose from 1 to 1 x 107 IU per a day and succinic acid or its pharmaceutically acceptable salt in the dose from 0.1 to 250 mg/kg of mammal body weight. The composition for potentiating the therapeutic effect of interferon in mammal comprises interferon in the dose from 1 to 1 x 107 IU and succinic acid or its pharmaceutically acceptable salt in the dose from 0.1 to 250 mg/kg of mammal body weight. The potentiating effect provides the therapeutic effect with lesser dose of interferon as compared with usual curative doses, to reduce the cost of treatment with interferon and adverse effects of interferon.
EFFECT: improved and valuable medicinal methods of therapy.
