CYCLONE SEPARATOR Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

Abstract RU 2242290 C1

FIELD: chemical industry; power industry; mining and metallurgical and other industries.

SUBSTANCE: the invention is intended for fractionation (a solid and a gaseous fractions) of the dust-gaseous mixtures containing a fair quantity of fine-grained (10 microns and less) particles, including low-density particles susceptible to sticking and conglomeration, and may be used in chemistry, power, mining industries, building materials industry, metal mining industry, in particular, at production of iron-ore concentrates. The cyclone separator contains: a body with a cover; an exhaust gear located in the upper part of the body made out of a strong and dense material; a cermet shell; gaskets which are sealing in a cavity between the body and a shell; connecting pipes for feeding of a working medium. The body of the cyclone separator in its transversal horizontal section is made ellipsoidal. The branch-pipes for feeding of a working medium are connected with a cavity between the body and the shell at the ends of the lengthy semi-axes of the cross-section of the ellipse and are located in the horizontal plane dividing a cavity between the body and the shell into equal volumes and fused to the source of the working medium through the means of control over a stream of the working medium and with a store of a working medium. The cavity between the body and the shell is connected also through a branch-pipe with a device measuring pressure of the gaseous medium in the cavity between the body and the shell and through a mean of control over a gas stream it is fused to a source of rarefaction of the gaseous medium. Between the body and the cover there is a fixed on the body hollow collector, which cavity through a branch-pipe, a control mean over a stream of a sprayed liquid and a pipeline is fused to a source of the sprayed liquid moistening the selected corpuscles, and with sprayers fixed in the collector along the lower internal perimeter and oriented in parallel to, generatrices of the shell. The invention allows to increase efficiency of excretion from dust-gaseous mixtures of the most fine fractions, reliability of the cyclone separator, to reduce labor inputs for its operation.

EFFECT: the invention allows to raise efficiency of excretion of the most fine fractions from dust-gaseous mixtures, to increase reliability of the cyclone separator, to reduce labor inputs for its operation.
