PRESTRESSED ROLLING STAND Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: prestressed working stands of sizing mills for making rolled merchant bars and tubes without additional deformation in system housing- screw down mechanism when load is changed in deformation region.

SUBSTANCE: prestressed rolling stand includes housing with vertical struts and with upper screw down mechanisms having nuts, upper and lower rolling rolls with chocks, hydraulic cylinders for prestressing jointly secured to vertical struts of housing. Portions of chocks extending outside vertical struts of housing are T-shaped ones and they have protrusions embracing vertical struts from outside and engaging with prestressing hydraulic cylinders. Housing has open lid and it is provided with lower screw down mechanisms having nuts and engaged with chocks of rolling rolls.

EFFECT: lowered lengthwise size, enlarged manufacturing possibility of rolling stand.
