FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: stand has plate 1 with hinged-up posts 2-5 embracing leans-to 6 and 7 of cushions 8 and 9 of upper and lower roll units 10 and 11, cushions hydraulic outward thrust mechanism 12 and drive mechanisms 13 and 14 for adjustment of distance between rolls. Hinged-up posts 2-5 are provided with guide grooves 15 and 16 embracing the side surfaces of cushions 8 and 9. In their bottom zones each of cushion 2-5 carries thrust flats 17 engageable with projections 6 of lower cushions 9. Hinged-up posts 2-5 are coupled in pairs by cross ties 18 and 19 thus forming rigid frames 20 and 21 located to both sides from the longitudinal axis of rolls 10 and 11 and carrying mechanisms 13 and 14 for adjustment of the distance between the rolls. Each frame is provided with coupling members 22 and 23 in the form of bolted joint. From non-drive side of rolls 10 and 11 projections 6 and 7 of cushions 6 and 7 have spherical tenons 24 and 25 engageable with the side surfaces of hinged-up ports 3 and 5 through which the axial rolling forces are taken up. The axial loads are transmitted from the rolls through cushions 8 and 9 fixed on them and spherical tenons 24 and 25 to the engaged surfaces of hinged-up posts 3 and 5. Being coupled with posts 2 and 4 by cross ties 18 and 19, posts 3 and 5 form with them rigid frames 20 and 21 thus increasing axial rigidity of the stand. EFFECT: higher accuracy of rolling. 3 dwg
