FIELD: petroleum processing and petrochemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to demulsifiers for destruction of water-oil emulsions and removal of water from petroleum products. Principal ingredient of demulsifier is ozonized petroleum-polymer resin prepared through polymerization of either piperylene-amylene or styrene-indene, or dicyclopentadiene fraction of straight-run gasoline pyrolysis product. Ozonation of the resin is effected at 5оС with ozone-oxygen mixture in the form of 10% solution in xylene. After isolation, drying, and grinding, demulsifier is used in the form of powder with particle size 200-500 μm.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency when destroying persistent water-oil emulsions and in their dehydration.
