FIELD: chemical industry.
SUBSTANCE: method involves feeding spinning polymer solution to dosing nozzle; supplying high electric voltage to dosing nozzle for splitting of spinning polymer solution flowing from dosing nozzle into individual filaments; providing drifting of hardening filaments and settling filaments on earthed metal sheet; adjusting distance between dosing nozzle and earthed metal sheet and regulating electric voltage to provide for maximal splitting of spinning polymer solution flow and settling the thinnest hardened polymer filaments by providing drifting thereof onto rotating drum, to which additional voltage is supplied. Method allows polymer filaments of diameter less than 0.1 micron to be produced by electric forming process, said filaments being used for manufacture of fibrous filtering materials.
EFFECT: increased efficiency and improved quality of filaments.
