FIELD: fast-response electromagnets for industrial and domestic purposes.

SUBSTANCE: proposed electromagnet incorporating actuating elements affording desired dynamic characteristics has spring-loaded annular magnetically soft armature 1 disposed between top and bottom parts incorporating upper and lower control windings 2 and 3, respectively, which are disposed close to top and bottom radially saturated annular permanent magnets 4 and 5, respectively, around top and bottom magnetically soft stacks 6 and 7, respectively, placed inside top and bottom outer magnetically soft cylindrical parts 8 and 9, respectively, of magnetically soft magnetic circuits that function as part of electromagnet body. Electromagnet also has top and bottom nonmagnetic flanges 10 and 11, respectively, joined to top and bottom springs 12 and 13, respectively, which are mounted on nonmagnetic rod 14 rigidly fixed to spring-loaded magnetically soft annular armature 1. Rod 14 is free to move through cylindrical holes in top and bottom stacks 6 and 7. Top and bottom structural members 15 and 16, respectively, rigidly fixed to rod 14, are designed for abutting against top and bottom springs 12 and 13, respectively.

EFFECT: enhanced speed of response and reduced power requirement.
