FIELD: converter engineering; control systems for induction heating units.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes generation and alternate supply of control pulses to current inverter valves; generation of forward and reverse voltage half-waves; measurement of instant voltage value across load; and generation of short sync pulse at moments of load voltage crossing zero. Number k is given that meets following expression: b = π (1 - k), where k is advance angle; π is pi number. Time interval between moments of load voltage crossing zero. Second time interval is calculated within sync pulse active interval by multiplying measured time interval by given number k. Next control pulses are supplied to valves upon expiration of second interval. Second interval counting is started during sync pulse active interval. Number k is given by following expression where I and E is input current and input voltage of current inverter, respectively; q is dimensionless constant normalizing numeric factor possessing value within interval (1.0 - 1.1).
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of current inverter.
