METHOD FOR TREATING PULMONARY CANCER Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: medicine, oncology.

SUBSTANCE: patients with local metastatic pulmonary cancer should undergo radiation therapy at split course at a single focal dosage of 4 Gr daily, per 2 Gr twice daily at 4-6-h-long interval for 7 d. Along with radiation therapy, between seances of irradiation since the 1^st to the 3d d one should introduce through a catheter installed in anterior mediastinum per 10 mg platinum incubated with autoplasma. After a 14-d-long interval one should start radiation therapy again by affecting simultaneously with a single focal dosage of 4 Gr, in a day thrice weekly, 6 fractions, totally. Simultaneously, it is necessary to introduce 10 mg platinum through a catheter into mediastinum since the 1^st to the 3d d and since the 8^th to the 10^th d and on the 4^th, 5^th, 11^th and 12^th d per 250 mg 5-fluorouracil incubated with autoplasma.

EFFECT: improved results of conservative therapy.
