FIELD: shipbuilding; building of hulls for high-speed ships.
SUBSTANCE: ship has main central floating hull and two side floating hulls of lesser length. Side hulls are shifted relative to aft portion of central hull and are connected with it by means of definite couplings. Side hulls are provided with underwater aft stabilizers or hydrofoils. Underwater parts of all hulls are immersed in water at any running speed of ship. Block coefficients of three underwater parts of hulls range from 0.25 to 0.35 at ratio of their length to breadth on waterline ranging from 12 to 20 and ratio of central underwater part to length of side underwater parts from 2.5 to 4.5. Coupling members are made in form of streamlined wings forming two nozzles at bearing effect between side inner surfaces of above-water parts of central hull and side hulls and surface of liquid over which ship is running. According to another version, block coefficients of underwater portion of central hull ranges from 0.32 to 0.34 at ratio of its length to breadth on waterline ranging from 15 to 18 at length of central hull ranging from 50 to 150 m and block coefficient of underwater parts of side hulls is within 0.26 to 0.28 at ratio of their length to breadth on waterline ranging from 13 to 17.
EFFECT: enhanced seaworthiness of multi-hulled high-speed ships.
