FIELD: materials handling facilities.
SUBSTANCE: proposed load-lifting electromagnet consists of steel round case with central through hole and magnet coils series-connected to ac source, and load lifting machine. According to invention squirrel-cage rotor is installed in central through hole of case. Lower part of rotor is rigidly connected with disk interacting through solids of revolution with case, and upper part of rotor is connected with case through thrust bearing. Disk is provided with radial cylindrical channels accommodating flexible members for instance, lengths of steel wire ropes, installed with clearance for reciprocating. Some ends of steel wire ropes are secured on disk by means of extension spring, and other ends are flush-fitted inside said radial channels. Coils of electromagnet can be connected to supply source either in series or into star.
EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities of load-gripping device.
