FIELD: evaporation of solution; alumina production process.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes heating of mother liquor in heat exchangers due to convective heat exchange with aluminate solution. Heated mother liquor is fed to vacuum-cooling plant where it is partially evaporated due to self-evaporation. Then, it is evaporated in surface-type evaporation units; self-evaporation vapor is used for heating the process water.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency.
