SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for preparing an agent used for protection of petroleum production equipments designated for inhibition of vital activity of microorganisms and inhibition of corrosion in systems of output, transport and storage of petroleum and in flooding petroleum beds and can be used in petroleum production industry. Method for preparing a bactericide - inhibitor of corrosion involves interaction of 2-methyl-5-ethylpyridine with (C₁₀-C₁₆)-alkyl bromide at increased temperature wherein 2-methyl-5-ethylpyridine and (C₁₀-C₁₆)-alkyl bromide are taken in the mole ratio = 1.05:1, respectively, and wherein 2-methyl-5-ethylpyridine is added to process for three stages by 0.35 mole with interval time 40-50 min, and process is carried out at temperature 120-140^oC for 2-5 h and formed product is mixed with solvent to obtain solution containing the end product in the concentration 20-70 wt.-%. Prepared reagents elicit the improved properties in inhibition of corrosion as compared with the prototype, and they are highly effective reagents for inhibition of sulfate-reducing microorganisms. Invention provides the development of technological method for preparing product that shows effect inhibiting corrosion and inhibition of growth of sulfate-reducing microorganisms being without applying the special equipment.
