FIELD: "air-to-air" guided missiles.
SUBSTANCE: the algorithm estimation of the boundaries of the missile probable launch region by the operational method, the values of its required characteristics and systems and the preset target manoeuvre load factor are preliminarily introduced in the fighter sighting system computer and memorized. In flight the required parameters of the fighter motion and the fighter-to-target approach are measured on the fighter. The maximum and minimum boundaries of the region of the probable launch on manoeuvring and non-manoeuvring targets are computed. The mentioned boundaries are compared and their maximum and minimum values are determined, at which destruction both of a manoeuvring and non-manoeuvring target is ensured. The missile launch is accomplished if two signals are available, one of which is applied to the input of the actuator when the target is in the region of the probable launch, and the other is formed by the fighter crew with due account made for the conditioned mentioned above.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability of target destruction.
