FIELD: equipment for measuring time of ultrasound signals spreading.

SUBSTANCE: method for measuring time Ts of ultrasound signal spreading from one sensor to another consists of sending exciting signal IEn to emitting sensor, containing n serial pulses with period Te, by means of which radiation of ultrasound wave is initiated in direction of receiving sensor, which generates received signal at output of receiving sensor. At that moment measurement of intermediate spreading time Tint is started, as soon as excitation of emitting sensor starts, received signal SRn at output of receiving sensor is determined and frequency of oscillations of receiving sensor is determined, measurement of Tint is stopped, at moment when i oscillation Pi is determined, time Ts of signal spreading is determined from formula Tint - i·Te. Current method is realized by appropriate device, containing means for subtracting fixed time, means for determining I oscillation, comparator, meant for counting number of oscillations of received signal and determining i oscillation, and other electronic parts.

EFFECT: simplified method.
