FIELD: acoustics.
SUBSTANCE: method includes forming a digital signal necessary for siren, converting signal to analog signal, which than forms a sound signal. During that digital signal is formed in form of two sequences of rectangular pulses with constant or alternating period T, displaced one relatively to other for T/2 and consisting of at least two pulses, these are added digit-wise, forming a sequence of short pulses of varying polarity, duration of which is selected on basis mathematical acoustic pressure. Device for realization of method consists of pulse generator and serially connected power amplifier and loudspeaker, containing electro-dynamic transformer. Pulse generator is made in form of generator with constant period of rectangular pulses order or generator with alternating period of rectangular pulses order, and, besides, is provided with two displacement registers, inputs of which are connected to output of microprocessor, and output are connected to respective inputs of adder, output of which is connected to input of power amplifier.
EFFECT: lesser power consumption.
